About Enterprise Virtual Matrix
Barco’s Enterprise Virtual Matrix (EVM) is a distributed IP networked based system which is centrally managed and enables video, audio and keyboard/mouse connectivity between a source input and one or more destination outputs (including projectors, monitors, displays and audio systems). The quality of the connections via Barco’s EVM emulates a direct wire connection, making sure the user cannot notice the difference between a connection over EVM spanning multiple kilometers, and a direct wire of a few meters. And because EVM has been designed to work with sensitive information, security measures have been integrated on different levels of the system, protecting the raw data from all potential threats.
Virtual switching without compromise
EVM enables 100% uncompressed AVoIP connectivity and KVM functionality facilitating optimal collaboration between locations multiple kilometers from each other. For both 2D & 3D content, the highest level of image quality and interaction speed is assured. In order to support very high resolutions, the EVM's ENA-340 decoder features synchronized frame-locking capability between multiple decoder DP1.2 video output ports. In this way, a setup that requires end-to-end synchronization between multiple DP1.2 connections – such as a multi-head setup, very high resolution content, or a video-wall setup – can be seamlessly supported.
A world of flexibility
The combination of single port scalability and a feature license framework, assures any system can be built for any specific business need. And when needs evolve over time, the system can be granularly adapted at any time and on any level, rather than doing an expensive full replacement. Every action needed in setup, configuration or upgrade happens centrally via a single browser-based UI. This makes using and maintaining the system easy, and keeps the TCO low.
